No-Cost Technical Support to Meet Seattle Building Emissions & WA Clean Buildings 

About the Accelerator

The Seattle Clean Buildings Accelerator is a no-cost technical support and training program for building owners and managers to meet the requirements of the City of Seattle Building Emissions Performance Standard and State of Washington Clean Buildings Performance Standard. The program includes self-led education for all audiences as well as coaching and training for building owners and managers who need more tailored support, especially those buildings that serve or are in BIPOC and frontline communities.* Expanded program offerings are coming in 2025! 

About the Seattle Building Emissions Performance Standard

The Seattle Building Emissions Performance Standard (Seattle BEPS) was passed in 2023 and the first reporting deadline is 2027. It applies to all commercial and multifamily buildings that are larger than 20,000 square feet. Compliance deadlines are based on the size of the building, with the largest buildings needing to comply first. Seattle BEPS is administered by the City of Seattle Office of Sustainability and Environment. An overview and guide to BEPS can be found here

  • Self-Led Education

    Self-led learning including pre-recorded webinars, common energy and carbon reduction opportunities, checklists, templates, and examples for how to identify targets, energy efficiency and emissions reduction opportunities.

    Tailored support, including live virtual workshops, site-specific energy walkthroughs, and expert review of documents, project identification and prioritization.

    *Frontline communities include black people, Indigenous people, sovereign tribal nations, communities of color, immigrants, refugees, youths, elders, houseless people, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people, people with low and no income, and people who work in outdoor occupations.
